Privacy policy

Data collected

Lelanation uses browser local storage (localStorage) to save your builds and certain preferences (e.g. votes, cookie consent, active tab). No account is required and no personal data is collected.

All data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers, except when you choose to share a build publicly.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies

Lelanation does not use traditional HTTP cookies. Instead, we use browser localStorage to store:

  • Your saved builds
  • Your votes on builds
  • Your cookie consent
  • Your interface preferences (active tab, etc.)

This data is necessary for the site to function and does not require explicit consent under the GDPR, as it is strictly necessary for the provision of the requested service.

Non-essential cookies

Lelanation uses Matomo for audience measurement (page views, navigation). Matomo is an open-source analytics tool that helps us understand how the site is used (no advertising or data resale).

Matomo tracking is only enabled after your explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can refuse; the site then works without audience analytics.

Managing your preferences

You can at any time modify or delete data stored in your browser by:

  • Deleting the site data in your browser settings
  • Using private browsing mode
  • Disabling JavaScript (this will prevent the site from functioning)

Sharing builds

When you choose to make a build public, it is stored on our servers and can be viewed by all site users. Public builds only include the information you have chosen to share (name, description, author, build configuration).

You can at any time delete a public build from the "My Builds" page or by making it private.

Data from third parties

Lelanation retrieves game data (champions, items, runes, etc.) from Riot Games' Data Dragon API. This data is cached locally to improve site performance.

No personal data is shared with Riot Games or other third parties as part of this data retrieval.

Audience measurement (Matomo)

Lelanation uses Matomo to analyse site usage (page views, duration, navigation). Matomo is hosted according to our configuration; data is not shared with ad networks.

Tracking is only enabled after your consent (cookie banner). You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the site data in your browser settings.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: You can view all your data stored locally
  • Right to rectification: You can modify your builds and preferences at any time
  • Right to erasure: You can delete your builds and data locally
  • Right to portability: Your data is already in your browser, you can export it

To exercise these rights, you can simply delete the site data in your browser settings or individually delete your builds from the interface.
